Takoby Cofield is coming back another Duke Football season after being redshirted in 2010. Cofield has been working hard in the off-season to prove to his fellow Duke teammates and fans that he has what it takes to be a Blue Devil.

As a three-year letterman at Tarboro High in North Carolina, Takoby Cofield raked in numerous achievements and was ranked as the 15th-best overall prospect in North Carolina by Rivals.com. Cofield also led his Tarboro football team to a three-year record with three state playoff berths which included a runner-up finish and a championship. Takoby Cofield is strong on offense but can easily transfer to the defense. With such flexibility on the field and a background of success, the Duke Football coaches are excited to see what Takoby Cofield will bring to the game of football and to the Duke Blue Devils’ roster this season.
