Ned Smith is a junior linebacker, returning for the 2011 Duke Blue Devils season.

Prior to playing at Duke University, Ned Smith was a three-year letterman at Cardinal Gibbons High School. During his high school football career, Smith earned a two-time Mid State 2-A First Team All Conference selection and also excelled in basketball. After not seeing as much play time as he would have liked, Ned Smith has been working hard to prove he is ready to see some game action.
