Isaac Blakeney is a returning safety, after being a redshirted freshman, for the 2011 Duke Football season. At 6’6, 230 lbs and with some college level experience under his belt, Blakeney is sure to impress the Blue Devils fans this season.

Before joining onto the Blue Devil roster, Isaac Blakeney was a two-year letterman at his North Carolina high school. During his high school football career, Blakeney led his team to two state playoff appearances and their first 11-0 record in 2009 which also earned him All-Conference and All-County honors. As the 2010 athlete of the year selection by the Charlotte Observer, the Duke Football Coaches were breaking down the door to recruit Isaac Blakeney for the Blue Devils team.

2012 redshirt sophomore Isaac Blakeney will try to help the Duke football team improve its record in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Winning key games against rival teams like the North Carolina Tar Heels will be essential to this season's success.
