Fresh off his high school football team in Georgia, Chris Taverez is joining the Blue Devils as a three-year letterman. At Westlake High School, Taverez was listed as the No. 51 safety in the nation by Rivals.com. Taverez has also become very interested in acting, scoring roles in numerous films including those by Disney Channel.

2012 redshirt freshman Chris Taverez will try to help the Duke football team improve its record in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Winning key games against rival teams like the North Carolina Tar Heels will be essential to this season's success.
