The University of Virginia was founded by Thomas Jefferson in Charlottesville, Virginia and is the only college in the US to be called a World Heritage Site.  University of Virginia's athletic department is dubbed the Virginia Cavaliers and is represented by a curved sword and soldier-type mascot.

The Virginia Cavaliers' first sport was football.  Original school colors of silver and red were voted against, though, because they were difficult to see on muddy sports fields.  After a student body vote in 1888, new school colors of navy and orange were selected because of their contrast and ability to seen on the field during all playing conditions.

The Virginia Cavaliers play home games in Scott Stadium, which holds over 60,000 fans.   Scott Stadium has been the Virginia Cavaliers' homefield since 1931, though a series of renovations brought the stadium into the modern-era of college football.

To catch a game in Scott Stadium or another ACC venue, purchase your Virginia Cavaliers tickets now.  Virginia Cavaliers tickets go quickly against match-ups against ACC rivals like the Wake Forest Deacons and Duke Blue Devils.  Don't delay!  Purchase your Virginia Cavaliers tickets today!
