After its establishment in 1925, the University of Miami quickly worked to assemble a varsity sports roster that now offers 15 teams, slightly fewer than other school sports offerings at fellow Atlantic Coast Conference universities. Although the sports offered may be slim, the Miami Hurricanes channel most of their energy into the football program.
